Dryden is under a Winter Storm Warning

DRYDEN – WEATHER – Winter is about to hit Dryden and Ignace according to Environment Canada.

Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Ignace – English River

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

15 to 30 cm of snow and blowing snow are expected on Friday.

The snow is expected to begin later tonight and become heavy at times Friday afternoon and evening. Latest indications suggest that most regions will receive 15 to 30 cm of snow by Saturday morning.

In addition, strong and gusty northerly winds will generate blowing snow reducing visibilities.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
