Thunder Bay Hydro Warns of Phone Scam

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Hydro would like to notify customers of an ongoing scam. A number of customers have reported receiving phone calls from a 1-800 number demanding payment or threatening to have their power disconnected.

Thunder Bay Hydro customers receive a letter of any outstanding arrears, and would be aware of any pending disconnection 48 hours prior as per Ontario Energy Board Regulation. Please report any suspicious calls to Thunder Bay Police Non-Emergency number at 684-1200.

Thunder Bay Hydro customers can call and check their account status during business hours (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm) at 343-1111.
