Thunder Bay – BUSINESS – This Thursday, PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise will host the organization’s annual Enterprising Women Awards to celebrate regional entrepreneurs.

The full-day event includes a tradeshow, workshops, speed mentoring sessions and a keynote lunch featuring Zahra Al-Harazi, survivor of two civil wars, CEO and Creative Director of Foundry Communications. Al-Harazi’s inspiring keynote address will send a powerful message to women of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities on a useful series of hard-earned, real-world lessons that every aspiring entrepreneur must master.

Workshops “A Factory of One” and “The Power of Storytelling” will be held along with speed mentoring sessions covering eleven topics ranging from technology to budgeting and branding. In the evening, enterprising women of Northwestern Ontario take centre stage at the Enterprising Women Awards Gala & Dinner – culminating in PARO’s Annual General Meeting.
