Police Seek Philip Crosby – Escapee from District Jail

Thunder Bay Police THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the inmate who escaped from the District Jail this morning. In a media statement, TBPS say, “At approximately 9:00 a.m., 48 year old Philip Robert Crosby escaped through a service entry as deliveries were being made. A search of the immediate area with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police did not locate Crosby. The search has been terminated. Police remain vigilant in looking for Crosby during regular patrols”.

Crosby is described as a Caucasian male about 5’9′ tall with a medium build. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue boxer shorts and socks at the time of his escape.

Police have released a photo and ask that anyone who knows of his whereabouts or see him out in the community to immediately call 911 and are advised not to approach him.

Crosby was currently in custody on driving offences, resisting arrest offences and breach of court orders.
