THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a fire in the Limbrick Housing Complex early on Sunday morning. The call came into to TBFR at 01:30AM.(ed. note – typo saying it was pm)
Fire fighters responded and were able to enter the unit, ensure that the occupants were out. knock down the fire, and secure the scene.
This morning, the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is on site, as well as Thunder Bay Fire Rescue’s Investigation Unit and a fire truck.
Damage to the unit’s upper levels is fairly significant. The ceiling on the upper floors was pulled down to ensure that the fire didn’t spread to other units.
The family in the unit was evacuated and are currently staying in a local hotel.
Editors Note: Earlier coverage said fire started a 1:30PM … it was AM. A typo.
