THUNDER BAY – ENTERTAINMENT – Magnus Theatre is proud to announce that, due to tremendous popular demand, Million Dollar Quartet has been held over for an extra week until October 1st, 2016. Critics and theatre-goers alike have had nothing but high praise for the show; for the acting, singing, and musicianship talents of Michael Vanhevel, Jonas Shandel, Calvin Laveck, and Grant Landry, who play, respectively, the roles of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins.
It is evident during the show’s curtain call and encores that the strong audience appreciation, demonstrated by continuous applause and standing ovations extends to the rest of the cast and in particular to an amazing performance by Danny Johnson as Sam Phillips, the owner operator of Sun Records, who molded each of the Million Dollar Quartet into the mega stars that they all became.

The story of the show is of one legendary December night in 1956, when rock n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash were brought together by Sam Phillips for a star-studded jam session. It was the one and only time these four musical ‘greats’ came together to share their musical talents and made rock n’ roll history.
