41 Year Old Woman in Critical Condition Following Assault

THUNDER BAY – A violent assault has a forty-one-year-old woman in critical condition in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre following an attack on George Street that happened on Saturday.

Police have two suspects in custody following an investigation of the assault. A thirty-five year old woman and a forty-three-year-old woman are in custody. Information on their identities has not yet been released.

Thunder Bay Police in a media release issued on Monday report that the forty-one-year old woman was found lying unconscious in the street, bleeding from the head.

Officers were in the Shelter House parking lot on Saturday night interviewing witnesses to the reported incident. The information released by police so far is that there was an altercation between three women, and in the resulting fight, the victim hit the ground and received a head injury.
