Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Auto Accident

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are currently investigating a single vehicle auto-pedestrian collision which occured near the intersection of Cumberland Street North and River Street at approximately 10:50PM EDT on Saturday night.

A forty-three-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences by ambulance and has succumbed to his injuries.

Traffic investigators have closed portions of River Street and North Cumberland and are asking drivers to avoid the area.

The investigation is continuing and no further information will be released at this time.
