Kenora offers a lot of beauty with iconic Lake of the Woods

KenoraKenora – Regional News – Bob Nault, Member of Parliament for Kenora, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced an investment of $289,000 in support of three projects in the Kenora region.

“Today’s announcement will support our grassroots community-based organizations, providing them with the tools they need to effectively promote the economic interests of the riding. Furthermore, investments through the Canada Infrastructure Program will modernize some of our key community facilities in the City of Kenora so that they can continue to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike,” said Bob Nault, Member of Parliament for Kenora.

“We would like to thank the Government of Canada and FedNor for supporting our network’s training, development and peer learning needs given the expansive area that our nine Community Futures Development Corporations serve,” stated Fred Wright, Chair, Lake of the Woods Business Incentive Corporation.

Provided through the Community Futures and Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Programs, this FedNor investment will support community infrastructure projects, as well as business development and economic growth. Organizations that will benefit from this announcement include the Lake of the Woods Business Incentive Corporation, the Corporation of the City of Kenora, and the Lake of the Woods Development Corporation.

In addition, we are proud to assist municipalities in their efforts to rehabilitate existing community infrastructure assets that promote economic, community and cultural benefits for area residents,” commented Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor.
