Severe Thunderstorm Watchs in Effect – August 25 2016

THUNDER BAY – Severe weather continues in parts of Northwestern Ontario.

Severe thunderstorm watches are  in effect for:

  • Armstrong – Auden – Wabakimi Park
  • Sioux Lookout – Savant Lake
  • Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa
  • Eastern Lac Seul – Sturgeon Lake
  • Fort Hope – Lansdowne House – Ogoki

Thunderstorms tracking through Northern Ontario this morning may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
