THUNDER BAY – HEALTH – For most patient units at the Health Sciences Centre, visiting hours are from 11:30 am – 8:30 pm. However, this may be restricted due to health care reasons in particular units or for particular patients.
All children visiting patients within the hospital must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and cannot be left in the care of the patient. Visitors are restricted to two per patient (not including a patient guardian in the case of the Paediatric Department).
Mental Health visiting hours are 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted on the Mental Health Unit. Arrangements can be made through the Mental Health Unit to facilitate visits with children under the age of 16.
