WINNIPEG – The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) is a joint forces unit of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP. MIHRSOU is providing information regarding Fabian Claybren MAYTWAYASHING, 41 years of age, a convicted sex offender who is considered a high risk to re-offend in a sexual manner.

MAYTWAYASHING will be released from the Headingley Correctional Institution, Manitoba, on August 11, 2016 after serving a sentence for 3 counts of failing to comply with probation and fail to comply with recognizance. Upon release, MAYTWAYASHING will be subject to the conditions of a 3 year probation order. MAYTWAYASHING is expected to reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

MAYTWAYASHING has a history of sexual, violent and other offences. Although he participated in some treatment programming in the past, MAYTWAYASHING is still considered high risk to re-offend in a sexual manner.  Females of all ages are at risk of sexual violence.

MAYTWAYASHING frequently uses social media to identify and contact women who could be potential victims. Further, he is known to use aliases in his activities.

Fabian Claybren MAYWAYASHINGis a 41 year-old male with a lengthy criminal record including convictions for sexual assault with a weapon, uttering threats, assault, cruelty to animals, harassing phone calls, and numerous fail to comply with probation and recognizance orders.

MAYTWAYASHING’smost recent convictions for fail to comply with probation and recognizance order occurred when MAYTWAYASHING breached the conditions of his probation order and recognizance by leaving Winnipeg without permission of his probation officer; breaching curfew; repeatedly contacting a person who was subject of a no contact order condition; accessing the Internet; and calling unknown females. MAYTWAYASHING often utilizes an alias, James Hildenbrand, during these activities.

MAYTWAYASHINGwill be released from Headingley Correctional Institution, Manitoba on August 11, 2016 when his sentence expires.

Upon release, MAYTWAYASHING will be subject to the conditions of a 3 year supervised Probation Order, which include:

– Not to possess or consume any drugs, alcohol and other intoxicants except prescription drugs as prescribed;
– Not to have any contact or communication whatsoever, and not be in the company or presence of any female person under the age of 18 years, unless under the direct supervision of an adult approved by his probation officer;
– Not to be in possession of any firearm, ammunition, explosive substances, knives or other weapons of any kind;
– Reside at an approved residence and abide by a daily curfew of 12:00 am to 7:00 am.

MAYTWAYASHINGwas previously convicted on March 30, 2001 of sexual assault with a weapon. He grabbed an unknown 14 year old female as she was walking home, dragged her into a yard, held a knife to her throat and sexually assaulted her. On March 30, 2001, he was sentenced to five years.

MAYTWAYASHINGalso has convictions for uttering threats, where he repeatedly made threats to former partners; making harassing phone calls to former partners; and has numerous fail to comply with probation and recognizance orders.

MAYTWAYASHINGoften uses social media to identify and contact women who could be potential victims. He is known to use aliases in his activities. Aliases include: James Henry Hildenbrand, Stephane Masters, Fabian Sennie and Fabian Choken.

While incarcerated, MAYTWAYASHING participated in some sex offender programming but is still considered at high risk to re-offend in a sexual manner against female children and adults.

MAYTWAYASHINGis expected to reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
