THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – Thunder Bay’s Strongest Man, Woman and Kid will be crowned on Saturday August 6th.

This Free & Family Friendly 6th Annual Strongman in Pauluccis Parking Lot at the Wayland Hotel in Westfort.

There is a licensed patio, BBQ Pit, Live Music on the Outdoor Stage, and a Kids area.

All donations will be going to Camp Quality.

Featuring the Popular Strongkid Competition!!! Medals for top placing children in each age category.

Trophies, cash and prizes for top 3 competitors in both weight classes (Over 200lbs, under 200lbs)

Thunder Bays Strongest Man 2016 – When Westfort Gets Wild

Event 1: Log Press medely
210lb 10 inch log
250lb 12 inch log
300lb 12 inch log
320lb 12 inch log
60 sec time limit. Split times as tie breaker
Equipment: Elbow sleeves allowed just no crank down inzer sleeves
Wrist wraps belts chalk etc all allowed.

Event 2: Atlas stones
360lb over 54 inch bar. In 60 sec
Wear any equipment you want tacky included.

Event 3: car squat – Estimated 580lb at the bar.
You will be pre measured previous to the event (show up early) to depth and you will go down untill the full apparatus touches the ground on each rep.

No suits or breifs, anything else allowed. 60 sec time limit.
Event 4: Viking press – 420lb on the apparatus – about 320lb in the hands .
No double dipping. Once the apparatus touches the ground you are done.
Everything allowed just no crank down elbow sleeves.
Event 5: Car deadlift sponsored by Breakfast Lunch and Deaner- weight option 750 or 825lb for reps. One rep at 825 beats any reps at 750. You can drop down if you miss but you lose time on the clock. 60 sec time limit. Wear any equipment you want.
Entry fee is $40 paid the day of.

Womens: Viking press – 150lb or 110lb for reps. You can drop down if you miss . One rep at 150 beats any with 110. No double dipping. Any equipment allowed. Once apparatus touches ground you are done.
Stone over bar- 160 atlas stone or 120lb river stone for reps. You can drop down if you miss. Tacky allowed. 60 sec time limit.
ATV deadlift – an atv plus me sitting on it for reps in 60 seconds. Any equipment allowed.
Womens competition entry fee is $25
