THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Kings AAA Kings announced Tuesday the North American Prospects Hockey League game schedules for both the major and minor midget squads.
Each of the two Thunder Bay sides will play a 22-game regular season slate in the NAPHL in 2016-17, which includes the first event of the season, the 14th annual NAHL Showcase, which will be held from September 22-25 at the Schwan Super Rinks in Blaine, Minn.
A total of five events compose the NAPHL regular season schedule and they are spread amongst three locations.
The Schwan Super Rinks in Blaine, Minn., will host three of them while the Troy Sports Center in Troy, Mich. and the Sport Stable in Superior, Colo., will each hold one event.
The top 10 teams in each of the under-16 and U-18 divisions will advance to the NAPHL championship tournament, Feb. 17-20, 2017 in Troy, Mich.
Meanwhile the NAPHL U-18 and U-16 all-stars games will be held during the Dec. 2-5 event in Blaine, Minn.
