THUNDER BAY – It is Matt Murray and the Stanley Cup’s day in Thunder Bay. Starting at just after 10:00AM at the Thunder Bay International Airport with the arrival of the Cup in the city, it is a whirlwind day of activity.

The Pittsburgh Penguin net minder is taking a great deal of time to share the Stanley Cup with the people of Thunder Bay. At the airport, while the crowd gathered to greet Matt Murray was not all that large, the very gracious Murray took the time needed to share the celebration with people.

At Intercity Shopping Centre thousands of people showed up to spend a few moments with the Stanley Cup and Thunder Bay’s own hometown hero.

The line-up was massive and security were sharing to people that their chances of getting to Matt Murray and the Stanley Cup were, if you were outside of the mall, not great. People didn’t leave, but the line kept growing.

The Stanley Cup and Matt Murray and his group are travelling around Thunder Bay aboard a Kasper Mini Bus Mercedes Benz Sprinter Bus.
