THUNDER BAY — The Ministry of Transportation advises the motoring public that the Neebing River Bridge on Highway 61, just north of Arthur Street in Thunder Bay, will be under construction this summer. Short term traffic delays can be expected.
Construction is anticipated to start the week of July 4, 2016. During construction, traffic will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes, resulting in one lane of traffic for each direction of travel. These temporary lane restrictions are required to ensure the safety of road users and workers while bridge rehabilitation work is underway. Work is expected to be completed by this fall.
