Thunder Bay Hydro customers impacted by power outage

THUNDER BAY – The Ontario Government’s efforts to sell off Hydro One are not sitting well with everyone. Some Thunder Bay residents are teaming up with the Keep Hydro Public coalition to launch a new phase in the campaign to stop hydro privatization on Saturday, June 18.

Joining the growing campaign to jolt the Wynne government into halting their plan to sell-off the majority of shares in Hydro One, Thunder Bay residents will attend a local campaign launch this Saturday. After gathering at St. Paul’s United Church everyone will fan out across the community to distribute leaflets urging Liberal MPPs Michael Gravelle and Bill Mauro to reflect the wishes of their constituents and speak out against hydro privatization.

An Environics poll of Thunder Bay residents’ reveals that 87 per cent oppose the sell-off of majority shares of Hydro One.
