THUNDER BAY – A dispute between Walmart and its credit card supplier will impact Walmart shoppers in Thunder Bay.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said it would stop accepting Visa Inc. cards at its stores across Canada, the latest salvo in an escalating battle between the two companies.
The retailer, which has 405 stores in Canada, reports that the company could not come to an agreement on terms with the credit-card processor.
As a result, Walmart, starting with the three stores in Thunder Bay will stop accepting ViSA credit cards on July 18th 2016.
