THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police responded to two weapons calls over night.
Police report that at approximately 9:18PM EDT on June 5, 2016, uniformed officers attended the 200 block of Picton Ave for a stabbing. Upon arrival police located a male victim with a slight injury to his neck. Officers determined that an argument had ensued and the victim had a knife held to his throat. Police located and arrested a forty-one-year old male and charged him with Assault with a Weapon, and Breach of Undertaking.
The suspect will appear in court June 6, 2016. Both the victim and accused are known to each other.
Thunder Bay Police also responded to a second weapons call was received at approximately 10:27PM EDT. in the 200 block of Ambrose Street.
Police received a call of a disturbance at a residence and when they arrived, officers could hear fighting and had to breach the door.
Officers found a male inside the residence with multiple non-life threatening stab wounds. He was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for treatment.
A twenty-nine-year old female was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. She will appear in court on the June 6, 2016.
