Accident Claims Life of Young Boy in Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Members of the Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (Big Trout Lake) First Nation are in mourning following the death of a two and a half year old boy. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision on Sakeetawanakak Road in KI.

As a result of the collision, the pedestrian, a 2 and a half year old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP Critical Incident Stress Response and OPP Provincial Liaison Team will provide support to the community and responders.

The accident is under investigation.
