Busy Morning for Police – Bar Fights and Stabbing

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police were kept busy Friday night. A bar fight at “The Bar” on Red River Road at 01:30AM EDT brought out police to restore order. Police report that a twenty-seven-year-old was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after being cut from an object.

Police arrested a twenty-six-year-old who now faces charges of aggravated assault.

Police also responded to another injury incident on the north side of the city.

At 02:53AM EDT Police were called out to a north-side residence. An apparent domestic situation escalated into a stabbing. Police arrived to find a thirty-one-year-old male suffering from a wound to his abdomen. The man was transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with what police state are non-life-threatening injuries.

The female suspect had left the residence before police arrived.

In both incidents, police are continuing their investigations.
