Peaceful Resolution to Standoff

THUNDER BAY – The incident involving a barricaded male in the 800 block of Minnesota Street has come to a peaceful resolution.

Emergency Task Unit officers entered the residence on the 800 block of Minnesota Street at approximately 3:05 p.m. and apprehended the lone male without incident. The fifty-six-year-old male was escorted to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre for observation.

The area is now safe and open to the public. The TBPS would like to thank the residence in the area for their cooperation this afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.
