SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON – Regional – On Thursday April 14, 2016, members of the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant on a residence in Sioux Lookout.
Officers seized cannabis marijuana, cannabis resin, a number of electronic devices as well as $2625 in Canadian currency.
Drugs with an estimated street value of over $8,000 were also seized during the operation.
As a result of the police investigation, seven individuals were charged with CDSA offences, and three were also charged with other Criminal Code offences.
Lauretta ANDERSON (21) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA.
Clinton BERRY (19) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA.
Frank BERRY (61) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA and Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) CC.
Susan BERRY (50) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA.
Patrick BOIS (28) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA.
Robert BOIS (26) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA, one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) CC, and Resist Peace Officer contrary to sec 129(a) CC.
Steven BOIS (21) of Sioux Lookout has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA, one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) CC.
They are all scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout court on May 17, 2016 to answer to the charges.
