Conmee Township Man Held in Cocaine Bust

Ontario Provincial PoliceTHUNDER BAY – A sixty-two-year old Conmee Township man is being held in custody following a traffic stop on Highway 11/17 on April 18th, 2016 when members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) assisted by uniformed members of the Thunder Bay OPP conducted a traffic stop west of Kakabeka Falls.

The traffic stop led to further investigation, when police officers found approximately twenty-nine grams of cocaine in the vehicle.

The sixty-two-year-old has been arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule I Cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The man is being held in custody for a video court appearance on April 19th 2016.
