TORONTO – Activists in Toronto have occupied the Indigenous Affairs and Northern Development (INAC) offices in support of the far north community of Attawapiskat.

The activists are seeking to take the word out across Ontario and beyond that help is needed in Attawapiskat.

The protest started earlier in the morning in Toronto and so far has been going on for almost three hours.

Toronto Police are on the scene for the protest and office occupation that so far appears peaceful.
