Thunder Bay Fire Rescue on Brodie Street EastTHUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was on the scene in a hurry this morning responding to a two alarm fire in the Limbrick neighbourhood in Northwood.

Just before 02:00AM EST on April 06 2016, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Service responded to a structural fire in the 200 block of Limbrick Street North.

The first arriving unit announced that a large volume of smoke was visible enroute and a second alarm was announced. The first crew advanced a line to the front door with smoke only in the second level of the home.

The first floor was clear on entry with flames coming from a rear window on the second floor .

The fire was quickly  brought under control with heavy damage to the second floor of the home.

Fire Investigators will be on scene this morning to establish a cause for the fire.

The home owner was not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
