Standoff on Syndicate Avenue Continues – Police

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police remain on the scene of a standoff this morning as of 07:30AM.

In a media release, TBPS say, “The 400 block of Syndicate Avenue North remains the scene of a standoff involving a 55 year old male and the Thunder Bay Police Service.  The male is in a house and has access to firearms.

The safety of all those involved in this incident remains our primary concern.  This section of Syndicate Avenue North remains closed.  Residents in the immediate vicinity have been contacted by police.

Anyone in the 400 block of Syndicate Avenue North should stay in their homes until this incident is resolved.

Avoiding the area can assist police in doing their job.
