THUNDER BAY – NEWS – On Wednesday, March 23 Shelter House will be cleaning its neighborhood between 11am and 1pm.

The weather is slowly warming up and melting snow is starting to reveal litter that was left behind from the long winter. Shelter House staff, volunteers, and clients will be joined by the staff of Corporate Strategic Services in this exciting venture. We have also invited members of the Public Safety Task Forces to join us in cleaning up the neighborhood.

Despite the ominous weather we’ve been having, Shelter House staff are prepared to roll up our sleeves and clean up the neighborhood we call home.

The event is organised as a way of us giving back to the Thunder Bay community that has so generously supported us over the years. The clients and staff are also eager to show their pride and care for our local area. We believe that greater personal connection between neighbours helps to grow healthy and resilient communities

The spring clean-up is part of Shelter House’s initiative to celebrate its 10yr anniversary at our current location.
