THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Please be advised that due to winter storm conditions, Confederation College has cancelled all classes and activities at the Thunder Bay campus.

Only essential departments (i.e. cafeteria) will be open for service to students. All other personnel have been advised to go home. Students on placement should check with their employers to determine if their workplace will remain open. Students in the region should check with their local campus.

Some flights at Thunder Bay International Airport have been delayed or cancelled.

Fort William First Nation has cancelled tonight’s youth events – Due to the current road conditions today, unfortunately the Maple Tops and Trampoline Park activities will be cancelled.

Evening classes at Lakehead University are cancelled.

Road conditions are being impacted by the weather. The Ontario Provincial Police have closed Highway 17 between Kakabeka Falls and Vermilion Bay. OPP also report that Hwy 102 is also closed due to poor road conditions.

Thunder Bay Transit is operating. It is likely on some routes the buses could be delayed. If you are using transit use www.nextlift.ca to keep abreast of bus times.
