THUNDER BAY – The Valentine’s Day Memorial Walk to honour Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls was held in Thunder Bay. The walk starting from City Hall headed out just after 1:00PM EST going to the Lakehead Labour Centre where drumming and a feast will be held.

The number of walkers was down this year from past memorial walks, likely Saturday’s very cold temperatures coupled with the long weekend as contributing factors.

The annual walk is to remember all of the women and girls who have gone missing across Canada.

Event organizer Sharon Johnson led the walk from City Hall.
