Winter is not over yet.:THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Get the snow shovel and snowblower ready. Environment Canada says snow is on the way. Up to twenty centimetres of the white stuff is possible by Sunday evening.

A significant snowfall will begin tonight along the north shore of Lake Superior and continue through Sunday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres are expected by Sunday evening.

Alerts are also in effect across the north shore of Lake Superior.

  • Marathon – Schreiber
  • Nipigon – Rossport
  • Wawa – Pukaskwa Park

The Weather Service reports that “Visibilities may be reduced in heavy snow and blowing snow. Motorists traveling along the Trans Canada Highway between Wawa and Thunder Bay should exercise caution.”
