THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police were called out to over fifty incidents over the past twenty-four hours. Thirty-two of the calls were Quality of Life calls, either alcohol related or disturbances.

Police responded to a call at the Shelter House in the Fort William downtown at 12:10AM this morning, along with an ambulance and a unit from Thunder Bay Fire Rescue. Police officers were on scene for a reported Assault.

EMS was called out at the same time to an call at the Odd Fellows building on North May Street to offer assistance to an individual.

Earlier in the day, Police responded to an Assault on the 900 block of Hudson Avenue that happened at 2:48PM EST.

At 1:15AM EST Police were called out for another Assault in the 1 block of Cumberland Street South.

There were two separate Disorder calls that brought out officers at the corner of Red River Road and Court Street. The first at 12:34AM EST and the second at 03:11AM EST.

There were twelve motor vehicle accidents that required police to respond. The overnight snow didn’t seem to cause a great deal of road mayhem for drivers.
