THUNDER BAY, Ont. – SPORTSThe Thunder Bay Tim Hortons Bantam A Queens will begin tournament play in 2016 this weekend as they travel to Blaine, Minn., to take part in the Mounds View Mustangs Super Rink Spectacular.
There will be six teams competing in the bantam A division during the three-day event with Thunder Bay’s first game going Friday at 9:15 p.m. as they take on the St. Francis Saints.
Saturday sees two contests on the Queens’ slate starting with a 9:30 a.m. encounter with the Andover Huskies.
That will be followed up with a 5:20PM. match-up vs. the Minnetonka Skippers.
Sunday features the top two sides in round robin play going for gold at 3 p.m. with the third and fourth place clubs skating for bronze at noon while the consolation contest between the fifth and sixth place sides goes at 9AM
