Thunder Bay Police Warn Public of Suspicious Male

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – NEWS – The Thunder Bay Police are asking for the public to be aware of a suspicious male who appears to be attempting to take advantage of people’s good nature.

The TBPS report, “We have had reports of a male in his twenties who has been seeking money, use of a phone and even a ride in the both the north and south side of the city. The concern is that this individual may be looking for an opportunity to take advantage of potential victims.

“In one instance, the suspicious male took the liberty of walking into a home without knocking. He claimed to be looking for an acquaintance. He went on his on his way and police were called. He was not located.”

Police said that the individual uses a number of pretenses in looking for assistance:

• Needs money or a ride
• Needs to use a telephone
• Needs a drink of water

The male, thought to be in his late 20’s, is described as:

• 6’ tall
• Light brown hair – often curly
• Neatly dressed and charming in nature

If you have concerns about an individual such as this person who is attempting to gain access to your home or looking for these types of favors, then contact police immediately so that officers can respond to investigate.
