THUNDER BAY – Calendar Parking Regulations will go into effect for the 2015/2016 winter season on Friday, Dec. 18. “Based on the snowfall over the past few days and the forecast of more snow over the coming days, The City will now begin to enforce winter parking restrictions,” said James Coady, Manager – Licensing and Enforcement.

Restrictions will be in effect for residential streets subject to Calendar Parking restrictions from 9 am until 5 pm. The restrictions are necessary to allow for quick and effective winter road maintenance. Affected areas are marked by Calendar Parking signs.

Under the By-law, the start and end dates of Calendar Parking are based on weather conditions in fall and spring. Unless waived by the Parking Authority in consultation with the manager of the Roads Division, parking restrictions will be enforced until March 31.

Motorists are asked to take special care to follow calendar parking signs and priority route restriction signs.
