Police Arrest Impaired Driver at Conclusion of Parade of Lights

THUNDER BAY – CRIME Update – The Parade of Lights last night was interrupted by an apparent impaired driver. Thunder Bay Police reacted to a single motor vehicle collision that occured on December 5, 2015 at approximately 20:19 hours toward the conclusion of the Parade of Lights.

TBPS report, “A lone male driver refused to yield to police officers conducting traffic control during the Parade of Lights and crashed in the vicinity of 520 Squire Street. Volunteer TBPS officers arrested the male driver for Impaired and Dangerous Driving. ”

There were no injuries to the public during this incident. Any persons with information please contact the traffic unit.

In terms of choosing a spot to drink and drive, perhaps this driver demonstrates the full measure of impaired in impaired driving.
