A band of freezing rain ahead of a warm front continues to affect parts of Far Northern Ontario. It will change to rain fairly early this morning for Big Trout Lake and the remainder of the area by late morning. It may last a few hours at any one location before changing to rain.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Freezing Rain Warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Wasaya Airways reports, “We would like to advise all our guests travelling with us today of possible delays, misconnects, and cancellations due to rain, mist, and low ceilings forecasted for Northwestern Ontario. “
