THUNDER BAY – LIVING – Wednesday, November 4 marked the first day of the 16th Annual Intercity Shopping Centre 50/50 Cash Draw. In the past fifteen years, the event has raised $145,000 to advance health care at our Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC). 100% of the funds remain in Northwestern Ontario to support world-class patient and family centred care for the people of our community.
This year organizers were happy to announce that the jackpot is higher than ever. One lucky winner will take home up to $25,000 in cash, just in time for Christmas.
From now until December 22 (or until tickets are sold out, whichever comes sooner) tickets will be available at Intercity Shopping Centre and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation office (in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre). Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10 and may not be purchased by, or on behalf of persons under the age of 18.
Last year tickets sold out by December 13 (earlier than ever!) so be sure to get yours right away!
Proceeds from this year’s draw will support the Northern Cardiac Fund and specifically, the newly installed C-arm (specialized imaging equipment) in the Cardiac Catheterization lab at TBRHSC. This equipment is critical for the provision of 24/7 angioplasty; the gold-standard for treatment of heart attacks.
This year’s Intercity Shopping Centre 50/50 Cash Draw will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.
