THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police report that a twenty-two-year man is in critical condition in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre following an assault that happened on  the city’s northside.

Police report that an aggravated assault occurred outside of a North Cumberland Street bar early Saturday morning.

Patrol officers responded to a large disturbance outside of Pier 61 at approximately 2:30AM on November 7, 2015.

There were, according to police at least ten persons appeared to have been involved in a number of altercations.  A number of people left the scene once police arrived.  Officers discovered the twenty-two-year old male victim on the ground, suffering from serious injuries.

He was transported to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The Criminal Investigations Branch are seeking out witnesses to this assault.  There were a number of people outside of the bar at the time of this incident.  They would be of assistance to investigators.  Anyone with information should contact police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers.  www.tipsubmit.com.
