THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that “Sometime between 11:00OM EDT on October 10, 2015 and 5:00AM EDT today, a police officer’s personal vehicle was broken into in the city’s south side. A backpack was removed which contained a police issued Glock model 26 along with 3 magazines.
This incident is under investigation. The backpack is described as being red and white with “Word Health” on the front pocket.
The Thunder Bay Police Service are asking that the firearm and the ammunition be turned into the police.
Anyone who may have come across this handgun or the backpack may contact police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers. Police state that “Remember, Crime Stoppers is anonymous if you are concerned about your identity”.
Our goal is to safely secure this weapon and ammunition. Please help in getting this gun off the street.
