THUNDER BAY – LIVING – Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario in partnership with the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation is bringing the National Inside Ride back for its six year in Thunder Bay. A team-based, pledge-based fundraiser, all funds stay local to support children living with cancer and their families. The event will take place on October 15, 2015 at the CLE Coliseum Building.

The Inside Ride is a fantastic 2-hour team-building, high energy event. Teams of six cyclists ride stationary bikes for just 5 minutes each and compete for awards/prizes for Best Team Spirit, Best Team Costume, Top Team Mileage and Fundraising Awards, while fast-paced lively music and an emcee keep the energy flowing!

With a fundraising goal of $25,000, each team of six is being asked to do their best to raise at least $1,000, which works out to just over $150 per individual member.

New this year, Camp Quality has introduced a school category so kids can help kids. Schools across the city are invited to register as a school team. With its own set of awards/prizes and a special fundraising goal of just $600, teams can include students, teachers and staff. The top six individual fundraisers per school will earn the right to ride. The school which raises the most will win a prize that all registered participants will be able to enjoy.

“The event is a blast!” said Ashleigh Quarrell, Director of Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario, who has herself participated in the Inside Ride for several years. “We pump up the music and everyone cheers for everyone. It’s a fun and supportive environment to raise some important funds for our campers and awareness for our organization. We hope to see a lot of teams out and hope schools will take us up on the invitation to participate this year.”

Post-event, all participants will receive a light dinner and some camaraderie
