WINNIPEG – SPORTS –  It was a rough weekend for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in CFL action. The Hamilton Tiger Cats tore the Bombers down in a 38-8 thrashing.

Winnipeg has not also lost their quarterback Drew Kelly for up to two months.

The Bombers say, “After consulting with team medical personnel over the last 24 hours, it has been determined quarterback Drew Willy suffered a tibial plateau fracture, as well as a partial PCL tear in his right knee, during the club’s game in Hamilton on Sunday. The estimated earliest recovery time for this injury is 6-8 weeks.”

The Blue Bombers go up against the Toronto Argonauts on Friday Night.

The Argos are coming off a game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Argos squeaked out a win over the Green machine in a 30-26 battle.
