Early Election Call Not an Issue for Andrew Foulds and Thunder Bay Superior North New Democrats
THUNDER BAY – ELECTION – Thunder Bay Superior North New Democrat candidate Andrew Foulds says the early call for Election 2015 has not changed anything for his campaign. “We are ready to go,” states Foulds in this first interview of the campaign with NetNewsLedger.
A confident sounding Foulds says that the New Democrats are planning a very positive campaign, one that continues to build on Jack Layton’s message of “Hope and love”.
Foulds states that Tom Muclair, the New Democrat leader is “Ready to be Prime Minister”.
“The issues at the doors have not changed over the past several months,” states Foulds. “Jobs, the economy, healthcare and environment are the top issues”.
The New Democrats are encouraged by the latest polls showing the party holding a lead over the Conservatives.
The New Democrats are facing off in Thunder Bay Superior North against incumbent MP Bruce Hyer who is the Green Party Deputy leader, Patty Hajdu the Liberal candidate, and Richard Harvey the Mayor of Nipigon.
Foulds, a sitting Thunder Bay City Councillor has taken a leave of absence from City Hall, as well as from his job with the Lakehead Board of Education where he is a teacher at Superior Collegiate.
