THUNDER BAY – NEWS – A motor vehicle crashed into the Fort William Gardens this evening near 6:00PM EDT. The vehicle crashed through the wall of the facility near the large curling stone and broke through the wall of the Gardens.
People on the scene report that the driver was able to exit the vehicle from the passenger side of the car, a grey Pontiac, that as of 7:50PM remains embedded in the wall of the Gardens.
The driver has been taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to be checked out.
Thunder Bay Police remain on the scene, with the roads around Fort William Gardens closed to traffic.
