THUNDER BAY – The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority is issuing a Flood Warning for the Lakehead Region including: Township of O’Connor and Township of Gillies.
The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority advises that approximately 123 millimetres of precipitation has been recorded in the Whitefish River Gauge in the last 12 hours.
The public is advised to use extreme caution travelling in these areas as the Whitefish River and tributaries will continue to rise into the evening.
The village of Hymers is currently flooding.
Authority Staff will continue to monitor conditions as part of its flood forecasting and warning program.
This Flood Warning will be updated by 9:30 a.m. Tuesday July 14, 2015.

Hymers: #Hwy595 in both directions ( Pee Dee Rd to Main St), all lanes are closed due to flooding. Reopening time is unknown.
