THUNDER BAY – NEWS – The Thunder Bay Police Service have issued an advisory regarding a High Risk Offender who is residing in Thunder Bay.
Thunder Bay Police state in a media statement released today, “This advisory is in the interest of public safety.
“Tamara Lynn PAPIN (D.O.B. May 25, 1966) will be residing in Thunder Bay’s south core as of July 9, 2015. PAPIN has been released from the Edmonton Institute for Women after serving 2 years and 3 months for Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon. She is under a Long Term Supervision Order issued by a court in Edmonton. PAPIN is under the supervision of the Federal Parole Board – Thunder Bay office.
“Tamara Lynn PAPIN has a violent criminal history dating back to the 1980’s. The bulk of these crimes occurred in western Canada and includes Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Robbery, Assaulting a Peace Officer and Possession of an Explosive Device. These crimes involved both adult male and female victims. Based on the sum of this information, we believe that this individual represents a significant risk for violence against adult males and females”.

- 4’10” (147 cm) tall
- 171 lbs (78 kg) – Heavy build
- Long brown hair
This advisory is being issued to provide information necessary for public safety. This release is in accordance with the authority granted by the Police Services Act – O’Reg 265/98, Sec 2(1)(2).
