Thunder Bay Police Kept Busy on Saturday Night

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police were on scene for a motor vehicle accident last night. The driver who now faces impaired driving and dangerous driving charges was not hurt in the accident that left the area closed off to traffic for several hours.

The accident left one of the flower pots on Algoma Street between Cornwall and Bay damaged, as well as the vehicle.

Overnight Thunder Bay Police were kept fairly busy. There were a total of eighty-six incidents responded to by police over the past twenty-four hours.

There were three weapons offences, two sexual assaults, and seven assaults.

Topping the list were quality of life calls involving alcohol and disorders, there was a total of thirty-eight calls that included 26 calls for alcohol related issues.
