WAWA – WEATHER – UPDATED – Weather Alert / Rainfall Warning has ended.

A Rainfall Warning was issued at 05:05AM this morning for the Wawa, Pukaskwa Park, White River, and Dubreuilville areas.

Environment Canada reports:

5:05 AM EDT Tuesday 30 June 2015
Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
  • White River – Dubreuilville

An area of very slow moving showers with isolated thunderstorms continues to affect western portions of the region. The area of concern extends from Pukaskwa National Park northeast through White River and Dubreuilville towards the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve. The showers will be heavy at times and could give very localized rainfall amounts near 50 mm.

The showers are expected to move slowly southeast, pulling out of the region later this morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

For Thunder Bay the weather for Canada Day is looking for mixed conditions. The forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud. 30 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. High 20. For the evening, cloudy periods with 30 percent chance of showers. Low 9.
