Crash on Highway 17 Results in Death of Dryden Woman

OPPDRYDEN – An accident on Highway 17 near Vermillion Bay has claimed the life of a twenty-five-old Dryden woman. Krysten Norris of Dryden has died following the collision between her eastbound mini-van and a westbound transport truck. A female passenger in the mini-van was sent to area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the transport truck was not injured.

The accident happened at about 17:30PM CDT near Stewart Lake.

The Ontario Provincial Police stated that their investigation into the accident is ongoing. The highway was closed on Sunday evening for just over four hours, and then was opened to a single lane. The roadway was re-opened early Monday.
