THUNDER BAY – Government of Canada websites came under a cyber attack earlier today. The attacks basically sent massive numbers of requests to load the pages which led to the sites going down.
The main page, www.canada.ca was down, as were other government pages.
The responsibility for the cyber attacks has been claimed by Anonymous. The group has claimed the attacks were a response to the passage of Bill C-51.
